DINING AT THE Q

Dining Overview | Breakfast Menu | Dinner Menu

Querencia features a breakfast that is "to order" rather than "what's available". Breakfast is served between 8am and 10am or through pre-arrangement. You can, for example, have coffee in the room early, then come to breakfast, sit at your own table or in the garden, and be served the breakfast that you ordered the evening before from a changing menu.

Fruit and fresh muffins or scones are available on the side board. Farm-fresh eggs (when our chickens are laying) any way you like, our feature pancakes, and other breakfast staples are always available. In addition, there is a deli special every day, like "pie and coffee" or "bacon, egg, and cheese on a hard roll". We vary the specials, fruit, and pancake variety based on what's in season and whim. If you would like a special breakfast, simply let us know at the time you make your reservation and we will make it for you if ingredients are available. See the breakfast menu for the current featured dishes.

stairsIn the evenings, appetizers and local wines are served. Depending on local availability of ingredients, prearrangement with our guests, the weather, and the mood of the host, appetizers will range from home baked bread and cheeses, savory tartlets, various crackers, and home made spreads, or individually arranged pizzas baked in the outdoor clay oven.

Guests have another exclusive choice of a candle-lit dinner served in the wine cellar, in front of the fireplace in the Great Room, or other location. See the dinner menu for current featured dishes. We will make dinner for only one set of guests in an evening, so be sure to reserve ahead.

Picnic lunches may be obtained through pre-arrangement. If there is a Querencia-sponsored private party in the evening, resident guests are invited free of charge.

What our guests have to say ...

"This is truly California's best kept secret - both your home and your hospitality (not to mention your scones, fruit and tomatoes, and your fabulous cooking)! This was just what we needed. Our only regret is that we couldn't stay longer."
